As of May 2022, James is announcing he will be stepping aside as president of the company after twenty years of business. His son, Lucas Gudenkauf, will now be filling the position as president. He graduated from JCCC with an AAS in Horticulture Science.
In addition we will be rebranding. We will no longer be Gudenkauf Transplanting instead the company name will be known as “Outdoor Visions” all previous services will stay the same (transplanting & tree spraying), in addition we now design, build, and maintain landscapes, patios & retaining walls.

Outdoor Visions uses two different sizes of tree spade. Our largest spade can transplant trees with a maximum plug diameter of ninety inches, and this 90-inch spade can move trees with an average trunk diameter of seven inches. In contrast, our 50-inch spade can be used to transplant trees with an average trunk diameter of 4 inches, as well as plugs with a maximum diameter of 50 inches.
Outdoor Visions carries a commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification to spray and treat trees. We specialize in treating pests and diseases as well as other issues your tree may have. Insects are the most successful group of animals on earth. They have existed for over 350 million years, taken on many diverse forms and successfully adapted to a variety of environmental niches.
